Property Description

"De Herberg" has been recently renovated and the old house has started its second youth.  The three guest rooms are spacious and have comfortable seating arrangements: two bathrooms have a tub and shower combination while the third bathroom has a jacuzzi tub with a separate shower.  All rooms have  television.   Internet access and a DVD are available.  The guests are welcome to relax in the open concept livingroom / kitchen area and enjoy a coffee or tea in the sunroom or on the deck.

Anyone who would like to experience an original Scandinavian sauna can do so, the brave ones can jump in the cold shower next to the sauna.  The exercise room is located next to the sauna and shower.

From the deck, one has a great view of the gardens.  For the nature lovers, there is the pond - great for a swim but also to just sit and look and listen to the sounds of summer.

"De Herberg" is located only 15km east of Fergus on County Road 18.  It is the ideal central location for golfing, fishing, swimming, boating, snowmobiling and shopping enthusiasts.  The Grey-Bruce hiking trail adjacent to the property offers a spectacular hiking and cycling trail through all the unique villages and towns along the way.  There are excellent restaurants in Elora, Fergus, Guelph and Orangeville, which is only 22 km the opposite way on County Road 18.  And of course, there are the horse racing and the slots and who can resist a visit to Mennonite country?  Really, what more can one wish for?

Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 8 and 9am.  That will give our guests time to enjoy an unhurried breakfast before check out time at 11am.  Anyone who would prefer an earlier breakfast could ask the night before and we will gladly accommodate that request.   There will be a wide variey of homemade food available - bread, muffins, pastry, jams and of course fruit and vegetables, cheeses, cold cuts, yogurt, homemade cereal.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation with full refund of deposits are accepted until two weeks before arrival.  After the two week date, refunds will be returned if the cancelled room is rented by another guest.
