Property Description

A great place to relax in Black Mountain. Come enjoy the soothing sights and sounds that surround you at Arbor House in the comforts of our arts and crafts style B&B. Choose from four spacious guest rooms, each with a large, luxurious bathroom. Enjoy sitting at one of the two fireplaces or snuggling up in one of the many comfortable chairs to read a good book from the owners' well -stocked library. The garden seats offer wonderful views of Lake Tomahawk and the mountians leading up toward the Blue Ridge Parkway. 

For breakfast, indulge yourself with our delicious entrees like stuffed French Toast, Belgain Waffles, Blueberry Granola Pancakes, fresh form the oven homemade coffeecakes and muffins or egg stratas. Fresh fruits, coffees and teas help you ease into the morning and be ready for a fun filled day. Be it exploring the shops within walking distance of Black Mountain , hiking the mountain trails, mountain biking or taking in the sights of Asheville and Biltmore House.

Our rooms are named after the area mountains. Downstairs Pinnacle can be either a king size bed or two twin beds. Greybeard offers a queen poster  bed,with French doors leading into a large bathroom with spa tub and glass shower. Plus the room has views of the lake and mountains. Upstairs rooms are Lookout, lake side with French doors opening out to a private balcony, a king bed and large bathroom with glass shower and spa tub . Natural light from sky lights in both bathrooms add to charm of each room. High Windy has a queen bed and an oversized walk in tile and glass block shower with multi shower heads.

To make your stay more comfortable we can help plan your activities. We can make suggestions or book reservations to suit your tastes including such as golfing, hiking, biking, bird watching, shopping  or just taking in the sights and sounds of beautiful Western North Carolina.

Breakfast

A full breakfast is served between 8Am -10 Am depending on your schedule. Meals can be planned around your dietary needs. Breakfast can be served on the outside deck weather permitting or by a real wood burning fireplace in the colder months.

Cancellation Policy:
For all cancellations, your deposit will be retained by Arbor House and credit for that deposit will be given toward a future reservation. In addition, for cancellations made less than 14 days from first night of original booking, an administrative fee of $50 will be charged.

Restrictions:

We are a smoke-free B&B with no smoking allowed in the house or on the grounds (violations will incur a cleaning fee). Children twelve and over are welcome: they are counted as one of the the two guests per room. Sorry no children under 12 . No pets allowed.

 Rates are based on double occupancy, two persons per room , discounts given for singles. During September and October we have a two night minimum stay on weekends(Friday and Saturday). We accept Visa, Master Card, cash and pre approved checks.
